What is included in an eye examination?

A comprehensive eye examination is comprised of a series of tests to evaluate your vision, including a refraction to measure your eyeglass prescription. Your eye health will be thoroughly evaluated to check for a number of eye diseases, such as cataracts, macular degeneration and glaucoma, and various systemic diseases that can affect the eye, such as diabetes.

What should I bring
to my eye examination?

Please bring: your vision and medical insurance cards, a list of the medications and supplements that you take, and your current eyeglasses and/or contact lenses (even if they do not work, since we will use them for comparison).

How long does
an examination take?

Because we want to be as thorough as possible, it may take up to an hour for you to be examined. If you require additional services, such as contact lenses, or additional diagnostic testing, it may take longer. Additional time will be needed in the optical to find and design your perfect eyewear.

What happens if
I am running late?

We value your time and will do our best to make your visit as pleasant and timely as we can. Our doctors make a real effort to be on time for you. We also know that traffic and life be unpredictable. If you are running late, please call us. We will make every attempt to work you in upon your arrival, but keep in mind that other scheduled patients will have arrived in the meantime and we value their time as well.
